Creating a Thanksgiving Tablescape

Creating a perfect Thanksgiving tablescape doesn’t mean that you have to run out and buy big, expensive centerpieces!

In this edition of #PleaseMakeThisPretty, I’ll show you how you can use what you already have, with just a few additional items to create a festive tablescape that your guests will gobble up!

Start with a simple set of dishware. I started with a natural colored melamine + bamboo set that goes with just about everything!

Lay down a table runner in a fall hue -- think reds, oranges, yellows, browns… anything that reminds you of the colors of leaves changing!

Choose napkins that compliment your table runner. You can choose a contrasting color, or different texture to add life to the table.

Select some items that create height for your scene and add those to the middle of the table. In this instance, I used three wicker lanterns in varying heights.

Working around those items, lay fall greenery down with the stems facing in towards your featured items in the middle.

Add seasonal accents like the white pumpkins I used -- you can also substitute apples, pomegranates, squashes, and other seasonal fruits + veg!

Be sure to let your guests know where to sit with seating cards. Here, I used rustic wood blocks to keep the cards upright, which adds to the natural, rustic feel.

Add candles, and light a half hour before your guests arrive.

And voila! You’ve created a perfect Thanksgiving tablescape with some simple seasonal greenery and vegetation!
